Hello, my name is Osegi, commonly known as “O.” I am dedicated to helping others through counseling, crisis response, meditative martial arts, and spiritual guidance. With a diverse background and a commitment to professional ethics, I am credentialed by the Missouri Board of Credentialing as an MAADC II and a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). I hold an M.A. in Forensic Psychology and am pursuing an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, with anticipated graduation in December 2024. My relevant coursework includes individual counseling, diagnosis, treatment planning, multicultural counseling, crisis intervention, psychopathology, trauma, group counseling, and substance abuse diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

As an intern, I have received training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) from the Department of Mental Health (DMH). I am also a certified SYMBIS© pre-marriage counseling facilitator. In my counseling practice, I adhere strictly to the ACA Code of Ethics and use the DSM-5-TR for assessments and treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of care and confidentiality through HIPAA.

My experience includes providing trauma-informed services, clinical crisis intervention, risk assessments (via phone, video, and face-to-face), suicide screenings, and offering solution-focused and culturally competent care. I adopt a holistic approach, emphasizing person-centered care, wellness dimensions, goal identification, and assisting clients in accessing community services. My therapeutic experience is well-rounded, incorporating multicultural practices such as Reiki, Qigong, and meditation. I work with all populations, including family therapy, with a particular focus on adolescents and addiction treatment.

On a personal note, I hold a CDL and occasionally work as a substitute bus driver. I am excited about the possibility of working with you and look forward to the opportunity. Many blessings!
