Bates County SIMS Training 2024
Code 1 Wellness actively participated in the 2024 Bates County, MO SIMS training on June 20th and 21st. During this event, all local community resources supported one another, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance crisis response capabilities. This joint effort highlighted the strength and unity within the community, showcasing the collective commitment to improving mental health and substance use support for residents. Code 1 Wellness contributed its expertise and resources, reinforcing its role as a vital community partner in promoting overall wellness and resilience.
Capital Building 2024
On March 5th, CEO Vanessa Kennedy and HR Director Dawn Prewitt of Code 1 Wellness visited the Missouri State Capitol to advocate for increased funding for rural communities, including first responders and small-town residents. This funding is crucial as it provides essential resources to those in need, who often lack access to adequate mental health and substance use services. Code 1 Wellness is dedicated to championing the cause of these underserved populations, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. Vanessa Kennedy’s deep commitment to this cause stems from her extensive experience and passion for bringing positive worth to individuals. Her advocacy underscores the importance of standing up for those who cannot fight for themselves. The organization’s mission has garnered bipartisan support, demonstrating a unified commitment across political lines to improve the well-being of rural Americans.
2024 Missouri Crisis Conference
